Jambut Village

Around 75 km from Pune and around 70 km from the city of Ahmednagar it is situated on the bank of the river off kukadi. Shirur, Parner, Narayangao, Manchar, Alefata all these cities are just 35 km from Jambut.

Features:

Here people of all castes and religions live happily and celebrate all their festivals together. Village has ancient religious tradition.

The village has Kolhapur types embankment and Mina branch cannel under internal irrigation system. The soil is black and fertile. Hence, perennial crops such as sugarcane, pomegranate, grapes, onion, wheat, tomato etc. grows there. Agriculture is the main occupation, where as dairy farming is a side business.

Jambut has two Revenue villages including Sharavadi, constituting 921 families. At the time of Independence, Educational Development took place in the country. In 1928 villagers started the first school through social contribution and eventually it transformed in a Marathi and English medium Primary and secondary school. After learning from the school, students are doing farming, business, administrative officers, engineers doctors and military services on a large scale.
